Seven bangles on my feet,
Seven cowries on my neck,
Seven lines drawn on my cheek
But still, I am dead again.

Seven goats and seven cats,
Seven lamps and seven whites,
Seven tail of Virgin rats,
But still I am dead again.

Incantations, Seven days,
Seven days and seven nights,
Seven nights of seven rites,
But still I am dead again.

Seven years of so much tears,
Seven years of leaking womb,
I live, but for seven years,
And now, I am dead again.
