I’ve never been one to sit still…
I’ve never been one to move slowly
With every passing moment
My heart longs to be somewhere new
Often I try to stay.
I try to stay put.
For the sake of love.
For the sake of hope.
For the sake of stability.
But my wandering heart listens
And reaches out to the calling horizons
Like magnets,
Beyond my control;
My heart whispers
I must go.
I think the problem is…
Not that I don’t belong
But that I don’t belong for long
So I must move
To where, I’m not certain
But till my feet catch up
My mind will travel
And my soul will wander.
